An end cap can come by many names; it can be called a cover cap or valve cap. It is very useful on a myriad of applications. It is made from many types of materials such as rubber, PVC or vinyl to handle any protection or finishing needs.

Function
An end cap of various materials is manufactured for specific purposes depending on the applications in the respective industries and commercial sectors. Even a home has many functions and uses of an end or cover cap.

It can be a tapered design to fit various diameters products or threaded/non-threaded caps that can be pushed on easily for a snug fit.

There is also the customized end cap which is specially made to fit a non-standard product. There may be a need to have a stretchable end cap that is resistant to acid; hence, caps manufacturers would design one of thermoplastic rubber which is acid resistant with higher stretch ability to fit larger diameters snuggly. Applications that require high temperature masking would need an end cap that can take on high temperatures. The vinyl end cap is a strong favorite.
